Stud Info
Barloo's Merinos are characterised by large frames and quick maturing sheep with free growing, bright deep cripping wool which is renowned Australia-wide. Fleece weights and fleece measurements, body weight, and growth rates are all considered in the selection of the stud as well as subjective measures.
Barloo has represented Western Australia at Dubbo's Rabo Sire of the Year. Barloo clients achieve top prices in wool sales throughout the year and top prices for their surplus stock at sheep sales.
Mr Tom Padbury is the stud advisor at Barloo.
SALES
Annually Barloo conducts a very successful on-property sale in late September. Stud sires are also sold at the Rabobank Katanning Stud Merino Show and Sale in August. Barloo is privately selling rams all year round, while semen and ewes sales are available by contacting the stud.
Domintor 200
2004 Supreme Champion at Katanning Stud Merino Sheep Show & Sale, and represented WA in the same year at the Dubbo Sire of the Year competition. Genetics of this top sire have spread throughout the stud and semen is available for purchase.
